Kiwiburn 2022 - Time Travel
Wed Jan 26, 08:00 - Mon Jan 31, 16:00
The Paddock
ABOUT
Kiwiburn is New Zealand's Regional Burning Man Event.
There will be art installations, people in costume, fire spinners, drummers, and musicians... bring your passion and share your dreams. Build something. Fly something. Float something. Burn Something... bring it to Kiwiburn!
For its 18th year, Kiwiburn celebrates Time Travel!
You will need to create a Kiwiburner Profile to be able to register to buy a ticket. Everyone attending the event needs a Kiwiburner Profile, and everyone needs a ticket with their legal name which matches their ID.
The ticket price is comprised of two fees totalling $195.00 plus Quicket transaction fee:
- $15.00 annual membership subscription to Kiwiburn (non-refundable)
- $180.00 event attendance fee (refundable in line with Kiwiburn T&Cs and Covid-19 policy)
There are no Gate sales.
Kiwiburn is an experiment in temporary community. No money changes hands, and you have to bring everything you'll need to survive, and Leave No Trace. To learn more, please read the Survival Guide.
Visit www.kiwiburn.com for more information.
Tickets will be sold through a randomised lottery. All Burner registrations submitted before 23:59 on 30 September will be randomly allocated a position in the ticketing queue, with tickets being issued on 7 October. All ticket sales will go through STEP.
BURNER REGISTRATION OPENS ON 24 JULY AND CLOSES FOR THE INITIAL SALE ON 30 SEPTEMBER!
Please login to Quicket, then click on the TICKETS link on the right to access registration, or click here once logged in.
COVID-19 POLICY
All tickets will be subject to agreement with Kiwiburn's COVID-19 policy.
If any part of the country is in anything other than level 1 (and with the understanding that level 0 is unlikely by January), the event will NOT go ahead. If the event has to be cancelled due to any part of the country going to Level 2 or higher, and there being insufficient time to return to level 1, the Refund Policy will take effect. Please note that the government is currently revising their approach to COVID levels, meaning Kiwiburn will need to adapt accordingly and this policy may change.
Kiwiburn will adhere to any government legislation and guidelines regarding dealing with COVID. As of 5 October, 2021, the government has given the indication that a vaccine passport will be required for entry to large events this coming summer, which will include Kiwiburn 2022.
Please consider this at the time of ticket purchase. Once more detailed information is released, we will provide further guidance.
Due to the time period required to achieve two vaccinations and then reach deemed immunity (14 days after the second dose), participants keen to come to the Paddock should be booking their vaccinations now - especially if also attending large events before Kiwiburn or planning to be on site during the build from early January.
REFUND POLICY
Should Kiwiburn be cancelled as a result of COVID-19 restrictions or their impact on Kiwiburn at any time up to the opening of the Gate on Wednesday 26 January 2022, the Organiser will offer a pro-rata refund based on expenditure at time of any cancellation. In total, $180 of the $195 face value of the ticket is refundable. A non-refundable amount of $15 goes towards the annual subscription fee to the Kiwiburn Society, which also covers basic year-round expenses and allows Kiwiburn to continue to function as an entity (even without an event). Any ticketing agency fees or charges associated with the original Ticket purchase are non-refundable.
